A Gift of Words

The Gift of Purpose

A unique gift to be sure. We are all born with a purpose, bestowed upon us at birth, and it is up to us to figure it out, or not. As we mature, we grow wiser, that in turn allows us to discover what the real reason for being us, is, in this world at this set time. Some of us have more than one Gift of Purpose in life, and some of us have multiple.

Some people never find a purpose and live a routine dull life.

For it is up to us to open this gift of purpose, to unwrap it and discover why we are us, who we are, and what the meaning of us in our lives is going to be.

Some discover their purpose early on and some discover their gift at a later age, or not ever. Some of us think that we are here to suffer with no purpose. Purposely.

Our lives, visually, are a bunch of paths leading to doorways, only uniquely available to us, on our own road map of life, so we are given experiences to help us decide when to go through doorways and when not to, and move on either on our true paths or remain stagnant with no Gift of Purpose.

We all are predisposed towards a certain way of thinking, with developable skill sets. We don’t come out of the womb, speaking seven languages, playing an instrument, artisanal, athletic, famous, or poetic, to name a few. It takes practice, failings, exploring our predispositions, which is an inherent requirement, in order to find out what our true Gift of Purpose is.

A true gift of Purpose comes with sacrifice, because it is only through trial and error that we can achieve our gift of purpose.

Some examples of Gift of Purpose: Spiritual undertakings: To Teach or Preach: To Nurture: To Perform: To Heal: To Change people’s lives: To Serve: To Build: To Take down: To Love:

The Gift of Purpose, once known, means that we can finally be authentic to ourselves.

Living gets in the way of finding our Gift of Purpose, in that we are too busy paying bills, fulfilling obligations, working, fiddling, and acquiring our space on the planet. It took me thirty years of working 9-5 for other people to then realize that I should focus on changing people’s lives through real estate.

“As a group of frogs traveled through the woods, two of them fell into a deep pit. The other frogs peeked in and told these two that they were as good as dead as it was impossible to come out. Ignoring the discouragement, these two frogs tried to jump out anyway. A while later, one of the frogs lost its spirit in the constant discouragement and gave up…and died. The second frog kept on jumping. The more the others commented, the harder he tried. Finally, he jumped out! “Didn’t you hear us?” asked the frogs. “I am a little deaf. I thought you were cheering me on”, answered the frog.

Encouraging words for one who is on a path to success could be a Gift of Purpose! That frog later became a king!

While you might not have yet found your gift of purpose, be a cheerleader!
