A Gift of Words
The Gift of Life
They say that life is worth living.
Most of us take for granted that we live, as if life is, well, just normal.
In fact, I just saw pictures of life being taken for granted of starving children where there is a big disregard for life but a big regard for power and greed. It's abnormal and shameful that the world allows this. We as a human race have the power and the duty to protect children from evil but fail miserably.
Children’s lives are so precious, they are our future.
Anyone can give the gift of life; we can donate, while we are alive, because we have two kidneys, and two lungs. We can also donate blood, bone marrow, pancreas, partial liver, intestine etc...
In fact, there are some prisoners worldwide, against their will, where organs are routinely harvested as a money-making operation. Yuck.
Life is a journey, which we should continue to focus on, building ours through failures, and pain, so that we can then savor the beauty through the trials, evolving to better our journey. In gratitude, through our experiences of the hi’s and lows, we fulfill a void that we tend to question from the day we are born. Such as curiosity, which leads us to a higher life standard, to more questions, thus elevating us spiritually, philosophically, and dreamily.
As one of the building blocks of life, in gratitude, we have an obligation to live life to its fullest. Some of us do and some of us don’t.
We are on our own journey and should never compare our journey to others, because we are unique unto ourselves. We can and should emulate others to facilitate our path on our quest for higher reason and being.
Be lucky you are six feet above ground and not six feet under.
Remember the Gift of Days?
So what is the goal we want to reach once we end our life journey and arrive at our destination?
That's not an easy question to answer.
Every answer is different depending on the person on the journey.
