A Gift of Words

The Gift of Eternity

By Wawa

This gift of eternity is a given, to be used or abused.

A seemingly endless immeasurable amount of time is a perception that we all possess. If we eliminate the theory of time which is man-made, then we are in eternity.

With no beginning and no end, eternity serves to confound and astonish even the most learned of scientists or religious groups.

Someone once said: “I am the beginning of eternity, the end of time and space, the beginning of every end, and the end of every place etc…” … eternity on earth for all things will be destroyed by man saith ME. I am not a pessimist by nature but a voyeur of the immediate future.

I personally base most of my life on realism, things I can see, things I can touch, things I can hear and things I can smell. Abstraction is not for me on a daily basis but those thoughts do occur on occasion.

Conceptual thought has its place.

We need to question.

When I dream, eternity exists. I don’t know about you, but I do not remember the perception of time in any of my dreams. The dreams just are. Are they not? I think so.

Known to man, these are our oldest species:

-The Trembling Giant or Pando- Aspen grove 80,000 years approx.

- King Clone- Creosote Bushes- 11,000 years approx.

- Honey Mushroom 2,400 years approx.

- Volcano Sponge 15,000 years approx.

These species are trying their best to survive. Are you? Is the world?

Be happy for this moment, you are in as we are amid eternity.

Mae West once said: “You only live once but if you do it right, once is enough.”
