A Gift of Words
Gift of Thought
Who woulda thunk it!
I think therefore I am….. Yup.
Without thought, evolutionary instincts would be the norm and that would be how humans would react in life saving situations, such as migration, food, danger, mating.
OH, with thought; Mating can actually be revolutionary. Lol.
The thought process allows us to parse information down into chew-able bytes and file them away in our brain for future use, then reconstruct that information into other thoughts so we can act, evolve, react, solve, create, worship, etc…
A thinking person can move mountains with a teaspoon, go faster than a speeding bullet, populate other planets, and cure diseases. A thinking man not thinking straight, can start a war, make species go extinct, can destroy our one and only planet with a flick of a switch or two.
There are myriads of thoughts out there, where some people get lost in thoughts, so they don’t notice what is happening around them. This could be dangerous though; you might not see the action of a thought coming.
Thoughtless people are always thinking about themselves, creating fields of weeds, and reacting to those thoughts, so they are then perceived as selfish. Conversely, thoughtful people tend gardens of thoughts that promote well-being and usually these thoughts are aimed towards improving outward positive vibes rather than improving ourselves. Gardens of thought are precious because these thoughts evoke love, goodwill, and also humour to say the least. There are more…
Thoughts provoke positive action most times, or exceptionally, thoughts can also do the opposite and provoke depression in a person as well. Stress is an enemy of thoughts, because thoughts can get out of control and run a race inside your head in a never-ending cycle, which can result in going insane, like Robin Williams, who felt he had no alternative but to end his life. So sad.
On a brighter note, our maker needed to give us thought so we can decide our future, individually, collectively, globally.
I always have a pocketful of thoughts in the back of my mind waiting to act upon them on a moment’s notice. I also have a library of thoughts that are stored for future use. As well, I have a thoughtless pile that I have archived, not worthy of my attention, but kept as a reminder.
I like to form bouquets of thought and present them outward to whomever I am delivering them to. Thought provoking comments can lead to creativity, sensitivity, a change of thought from negative to positive.
It can take an eye, or an ear, or a smell, or a touch, or a taste to formulate a thought. You see something, you think, you hear something, you think. You think thoughts. All of our senses release thoughts, but beware of errant thoughts because what you see, hear, smell might not necessarily translate into truth, and your thinking might be awry. You can be fooled. Therefore, foolish thoughts have to be dismissed once recognized for what they are worth. Intelligence sifts thoughts through and classifies them as nonsense or true thoughts.
An inane thought: I got some new jeans yesterday, until I realized they didn’t fit me around the waist so I went looking for a belt. I couldn’t find one. Then I had a really good idea. I could attach a ton of watches together to make a belt! But then I just thought it was a waste of time.
Thoughtlessly thinking thoughtless thoughts, the thought thinking man thoughtfully thought thoughtlessly and time moved on.
