A Gift of Words
Gift of Soul
We are the sole owners of our soul. God’s gift. He oversees it.
It is the essence of who we are. To be truly in touch with our inner being, we must cleanse out the superficial crap that we instill on ourselves on a daily basis. We need to be honest internally, which most people aren’t. We constantly lie to ourselves to justify our wants instead of addressing our needs.
When we lie to ourselves, we bury our souls. Material possessions and self lies are our comfort food, which we try to amass throughout our lives. But, how many of us can say that we are in touch with our souls, honestly? Our inner being is usually ignored thus it is starved. Soul famine.
The biggest reason we are not happy is we have, through the loss of our innocence, replaced that innocence with comfort food. (Our material possessions) It doesn’t mean we need to live in piety or frugality.
To be truly happy we have to stop lying to ourselves through our daily justifications of why we do what we do, like having a rigid attitude, justifying behavior, and self-deception to name a few. The start of our days should begin with self-loving, which is the measure of happiness, opening the door to our soul.
To begin, turn your mind inward. Find a “you only” place. Relax….. and take out the mind-garbage that interferes with your soul and begin nourishing your being with soul food.
